Before Tanning

• Stand on a towel during application to catch any overspray.

⚠️ Do not apply Ultra 1 until the day of the contest.

The Night Before the Contest

Apply Green Away

Spray Jan Tana Green Away over the body, especially under the arms.

• Helps keep you fresh since deodorant must not be used.
• Allow the product to dry completely before applying any contest color.

Contest Day

Apply Ultra 1

On the day of the competition:

• Spray Jan Tana® Ultra 1 Color evenly over the entire body.
• Blend smoothly using a tanning puff or application glove.
• For a darker result, additional layers may be applied as needed.

For best results, we recommend using Hi-Def Color as a base color the night before applying Ultra 1.

Ultra 1 delivers maximum darkness, enhanced definition, and a deep professional stage finish designed for competition lighting.

Important Notes

Avoid Other Tanning Products

Do not apply any other tanning products before or after using Jan Tana color products.

• Tanning beds are not necessary.
• Mixing products may affect the final result.

Do Not Apply Oils

Avoid oils, PAM cooking spray, or other products over your contest color.

• Products containing petroleum can cause the color to streak or run.

Do Not Use Deodorant

Do not apply deodorant before or after applying color.

• Deodorant can alter the skin’s pH balance and may cause discoloration under the arms.
